Two Battery Banks

I have what is probably common - a two battery bank boat. House and starting. The starting battery is flooded chemistry and the House is two battle borns replacing flooded. I have a balmar alternator (70a) and a palmar 618 regulator which is set up for lithium charging. It is a bit wonky and cuts in and out and I'd like to replace it. Suggestions as to set up with your unit which interests me. Thanks

Hi Robert, the XREG-010 would be a direct upgrade for the balmar 618, providing better transparency and control, along with the other advantages shown here: https://xengineering.net/#compare

A couple questions: 1) Do you have a battery shunt on your house bank already? If not, I'd recommend installing that at the same time as XREG. 2) Do you have a DC/DC charger between your lithium bank (charged directly by the alternator) and starting battery? If so, that's the same setup I have on my boat, and it works well. The DC/DC charger does not need to be large, pretty much any on the market will keep the starter battery topped up.
