Shipping content vs. shell

“Most students are all shell and no content, but you are all content and no shell.”
—A teacher to me, 20 years ago

I took it as a compliment, and for better or worse, it’s still true.  Regulator kits ship in a variety of reused packaging: whatever is on hand that will sufficiently protect them.  So please do not be surprised by the overloaded USPS box, non-branded tape, Amazon envelope, and random mix of newspaper and bubble wrap.

Rest assured that the packaging is not a reflection of the attention and care put into the regulator. It’s rather that I’m still in denial about first impressions possibly mattering more than practical and efficient packaging.

Left: a stack of USPS Small Flat Rate Boxes, pink foam sheets, kraft paper, and a reused mailer with a shipping label. Top right: a plain brown box beside customs invoices. Bottom right: a Small Flat Rate Box with a PirateShip label. All addresses and paperwork are blurred.
